I love all the fascination that comes with seeing the world through a child's eyes. With an early release day from school. . . I could see no reason why I couldn't accommodate the birthday party request for some cherished toys.
The mini "cakes" are actually cookies covered in frosting. Super quick and easy too! They were based off the cakes as shown in the book by American Girl, Tiny Treats. The garland in the background is just triangles of inexpensive felt run through the sewing machine in a row.
