Paper Bag Snowflakes

I really enjoy making simple crafts with my daughter. This craft is just our style. Quick, inexpensive, not very messy. Perfect. All you really need is paper bags. Yup... a simple paper bag. The same kind that are used to make luminaries, carry your lunch and make paper bag puppets with. These creations are super fast to make and quite simple to. Here is my own version of Martha's paper bag decorations:

Supplies Needed:

- 6 paper bags

- string

- scissors

- double stick adhesive

- hole punch, any size

Step One: Fold the base down so two flat sides of the bag are showing.

Step Two: Cut the base off, just above the fold.

Step Three: Apply a piece of double stick adhesive to the mid section. Stack the next bag on top of the last and add the adhesive. Continue until all bags are attached together.

Step Four: Punch a hold about 1/4" up from the base in the center.

Step Five: Cut any pattern you like around the edges. I also curve the top, but that is optional. Just be sure to leave some edge area uncut.

Step Six: Put the string through the holes, tie a loose knot. Attach the string up the center of the bag. I just use one piece of double stick tape in the top 1/3 of the bag. Also add a piece of adhesive near the bottom, just as you did in step 3.

Step Seven: Fan out the bags, so the front and back sides meet. Make sure the adhesive from one side connects to the bag on the opposite side. That's it!
